Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1300 m)
Welcome to Nepal! Upon your arrival in Kathmandu Airport, you’ll be met at the airport by our representative.
There’s a short drive to the Gokarna Forest Resort, our peaceful haven on the outskirts of Kathmandu. This is your hotel base before and after trek. Your program on the hotel will be on Bed & breakfast plan.
You’ll be served with welcome drink and will start briefing about your programs and collect necessary documents for permit for the trekking.
Overnight at Gokarna Forest Resort
Gokarna Forest Resort is located inside the serene temperate Gokarna Forest, the former private Royal hunting grounds of the Kings of Nepal. A winding road climbs through the forest up to the main complex, comprising a mix of subtly majestic Malla period architecture, Rana period lodges, and sanctuaries harmoniously blending with nature. Further on exotic Forest View cottage rooms are set beside a century old restored Hunter’s lodge. A quiet peaceful haven set between ancient towering trees with glimpses of the second fairway in the valley below make the perfect getaway for a few days of golf, relaxation and rejuvenation at the Spa, enchanting forest walks, and time close to nature.
Day 2: Kathmandu – Pokhara (900 m) – Birethanti (1025 m) (B, L, D)
After breakfast, we transfer to the domestic airport for your 25 minutes flight to Pokhara. This spectacular flight offers views of the Langtang, Manaslu and Annapurna ranges.
We’ll have a briefing at the Ker & Downey head office before we transfer by road with guides & porters to our trek start point {1-hour}. Our walk will follow a ridgeline in the lower foothills of the Annapurnas with surrounding views of the Pokhara Valley. This route then drops to the Modi River Valley, where Ker & Downey's Sanctuary Lodge is located. The lodge has magnificent views of the sacred and unclimbed Fishtail Mountain, or Machhapuchhre, as it is locally known. A picnic lunch is provided with a late afternoon arrival at the Lodge.

Day 3: Birethanti – Ghandruk (2050 m) (B, L, D)
After breakfast, we leave the lodge walking out through the outlying farms following the Modi River Valley. Soon we begin to climb out of the valley & up towards the mountains. The trail passes through small hamlets, terraced rice fields and forests with spectacular views of the surrounding valley. Snacks are provided along the trail. Hot lunch is served on arrival at the lodge in the early afternoon. It is from this lodge that there are magnificent close up views of the surrounding mountains.

Overnight at Himalaya Lodge
Day 4: Ghandruk (B, L, D)
We wake up this morning with tea and coffee served in the garden and watch the sunrise over Annapurna South, Annapurna 1, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna, and the Fishtail. After enjoying a relaxing breakfast and the glorious views from the Himalaya Lodge, our guide will take us on an exploration of this mountain village and the surrounding countryside. Ghandruk was once a major recruitment centre for the famous Gurkha soldiers. The women of Ghandruk maintain a local industry of weaving traditional rugs.

Day 5: Ghandruk – Landruk (1630 m) (B, L, D)
After breakfast, we leave the Himalaya Lodge walking out through the village of Ghandruk. Buffaloes and goats graze in the surrounding fields and you may have to make way for the donkey and mule trains that convey goods to and from the Gurkha settlements. You may also meet some of the trekkers coming down from or heading up to the Sanctuary itself. We descend for about 2 hours until we reach the river bed. From here, the trail then climbs for about one hour until we reach the village of Landruk where our lodge is situated. In the afternoon you can explore the surrounding area which is also situated near to the honey cliffs made famous by the honey hunters. You can witness this collection at certain times of the year.

Overnight at La Bee Lodge
Day 6: Landruk – Majgaon (1400 m) (B, L, D)
Following leisurely breakfast, we leave the Bee lodge & trek to Ker & Downey's Gurung Lodge. The lodge is built along the lines of a traditional Nepalese village. Every room has spectacular views of the surrounding valley and mountains. Trek time to the Lodge is just 3 to 4 hours and much time is spent contouring round and through pretty villages that have remained unchanged for centuries. After lunch at the lodge, we take rest and enjoy the views of the region along with the mountains. During the evening time, should there be more than 6 guests, the children along with the mother group will visit your place and perform local dances and typical songs of the region.

Overnight at Gurung Lodge
Day 7: Majgaon (B, L, D)
After breakfast, 3 - 4 hrs walks around the Majgaon and Patle Khet village to discover the traditional homes and the living style of the local people. And in the mean time, visit local school as well as a local house which has been converted into a museum in the local village of Tanchok and back to the lodge for lunch. Afternoon, free time.

Day 8: Majgaon – Pokhara (B)
Walk down till Lumle where we take our vehicle down to Pokhara. Then, we visit the beautiful city of Pokhara. Pokhara has become a major tourist destination since the advent of trekking in Nepal. It is set in the heart of a large subtropical valley. Pokhara valley also has a beautiful lake, Phewa Lake. It’s the largest that borders the city to the southwest. It is the heart of the tourism industry in Pokhara. You can enjoy pleasant walks or cycling along the lake side. It is also possible to rent a small rowing boat to enjoy the surroundings of this beautiful lake. En route we can stop to visit the Tibetan Refugee Camp upon request.

Overnight at Temple Tree Resort
Day 9: Pokhara – Kathmandu (B)
After having breakfast at the hotel, transfer to airport for the flight to Kathmandu and then transfer to hotel.
On arrival in Kathmandu we’ll transfer to Gokarna Resort. Then you’ve free time to relax or head into the city. We find most people want to simply unwind and enjoy the hotel facilities – whatever you choose, we’ll help!

Day 10: Kathmandu (B)
After enjoying a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, we'll be met by our guide for our day trip to a few of the Kathmandu valley's most spectacular and important sights and some vibrant, colourful markets.
With a blend of three ancient capitals and their associated palaces, temples and markets of Kathmandu has a lot to offer culturally and historically. However, we're mindful not to overload you so we will ensure the day has a good balance between sightseeing, exploring and relaxation time.
The exact itinerary may change depending on the local conditions but we shall most likely visit:
- Pashupatinath, one of the most important temples in South Asia to the Hindu God, Lord Shiva;
- One of the three Durbar (Palace) Squares, a complex of palaces and temples which was formally the social, religious and administrative focal point of the ancient city
- Boudhanath Stupa, a wonderful Buddhist site centered on a huge Stupa topped with the all-seeing eyes. If possible we'll come here in the early evening to soak up the atmosphere of hundreds of Tibetan and Sherpa peoples walking their devotional khora
Day 11: Departure from Kathmandu
Final departure depending on your flight schedules.
